SmartFlow™
Launching this year in 2009, our latest technology, the SmartFlow™, takes a ground breaking leap forward from regular shower mixers to intelligent, self-adjusting thermostatic technology for all NZ pressure conditions.
You’ll never experience another cold shock or hot scald in the shower with SmartFlow™ technology, even when someone else is using the kitchen tap or flushing the toilet at the same time.
Safety is a big feature of the SmartFlow™, with a factory pre-set maximum temperature of 50˚C, and a safety shut-off in case of cold water supply failure.
SmartFlow™ also saves water and energy through faster initial ‘warming up’ time, by draining the cool water in your hot water supply pipe first.
SmartFlow™ shower mixers have been launched in 2 different styles in the Aria range and the minimalist 06 and Volo ranges.
What is SmartFlow™?
Regular shower mixers rely on manual control to regulate flow and temperature. When the hot or cold water supply to a manual shower mixer fluctuates, so does the temperature of the shower. This causes the user to experience a sudden, unpleasant cold shock or a potentially dangerous hot scald as they scramble frantically to adjust the mixer back to a comfortable shower temperature. SmartFlow™ is a thermostatic shower mixer which automatically adjusts itself to maintain the shower temperature you have set it to.
How does SmartFlow™ technology work?
The SmartFlow™ mixer engine incorporates a thermostat which senses change in hot and cold water supply. The thermostat moves a piston to increase or decrease hot or cold water accordingly so that the set shower temperature is maintained at all times. No extreme hot or cold spikes are felt because the SmartFlow™ does this all within +/-1° C, in less than 1 second.
Why should I install SmartFlow™ shower?
The SmartFlow™ shower mixer is ideal for homes with families and multiple residents because it prevents cold shocks or hot scalds in the shower, even when someone else in the house uses the kitchen tap or flushes the toilet.
Hot water must be stored at a minimum of 60°C to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria. However, third degree burns occur at only 30 seconds of exposure to water at 55°C, only 5 seconds at 60°C, and less than one second at 70°C. Each year the equivalent of two classrooms of kids are hospitalised with burns from hot tap water in New Zealand*. Like children, the elderly and infirm are also at a higher risk of scald injuries.
SmartFlow™ provides a safe shower, as it is factory pre-set to a maximum of 50°C. In the event of cold water supply failure, a safety shut-off cuts hot water entirely.
SmartFlow™ can help save you money too, by saving water and energy, because it reaches the set shower temperature faster than regular shower mixers.
SmartFlow™ has been developed by Felton specifically for New Zealand conditions. It installs easily into any water pressure situation, in new or existing showers, without the need to change out cartridges, jets or rotors.

Flexidisc™
The Flexidisc™ is an economical, ceramic cartridge based mixer for equal low and equal high (mains) pressure situations. This mixer utilizes a tough glass reinforced high temperature nylon body manufactured in
New Zealand.
Flexidisc™ incorporates an adjustable anti-scald ring and flow limiter. The installer can use these features to limit hot water temperature and set maximum flow to save water.
Flexidisc™ shower mixers are available in 2 styles - in the minimalist 06 and Volo ranges, and in the Odyssey range.

Venturi™
Venturi™ shower mixers are specifically engineered and made in New Zealand for NZ water pressures.
Each Venturi™ mixer pack comes with 2 interchangeable rotors designed to ensure optimal temperature control on all pressure situations - unequal, equal low or equal high (mains). Unlike brass mixers, its tough acetal body resists limescale and hard water.
Venturi™ shower mixers are available as a concealed outlet or exposed outlet option. The exposed outlet model offers added benefits with an integrated hose outlet. This means there is no need for a separate outlet to an elbow, saving installation time and cost.
Venturi™ shower mixers are available in 3 styles across the 06, Volo, and Odyssey range.

Feltonmix™
The original Feltonmix™ is still as popular today as when it was first launched on the New Zealand market over 40 years ago. The principle of using high pressure cold water to pull through low pressure hot water to create optimum flow remains the same, but the shower mixer itself has undergone constant product improvements.
The Feltonmix™ integrates a shower rose, so no separate outlet is required. It is child tamper-proof as the temperature control is at adult head height. Similar to the Venturi™ mixer, its tough acetal body resists limescale and hard water.
The Feltonmix™ switches easily into a slide rail or hand shower kit. Feltonmix™ bath conversion units are also available to quickly convert your existing bath taps into a shower without having to remove the shower lining.
WaterScrooge™
Water-Saving Products
Like its namesake, WaterScrooge™ is very stingy. Stingy on water, that is.
WaterScrooge™ is a range of products designed to prevent water wastage without compromising the quality of your shower.
It’s not only good for the environment, but good for your pocket. Old Uncle Scrooge would be very proud.
Glu™
Fixing System
Don’t risk damage to ceramic tile or glass surfaces by drilling. The Glu™ fixing system prevents the hassle of replacing cracked tiles and saves time and money. There is no need to locate timber behind the wall, and there’s no risk of waterproofing issues.
Glu™ is an ideal DIY product as it is super easy to install.
This system is comprised of a unique Glu™ adhesive which creates a
very strong bond between the ceramic tile and the Glu™ wall mount/bush,
which is coated in a special material to increase strength. Once cured, each Glu™ wall mount/bush can withstand a surprising 120kg of perpendicular force. Best of all, it removes cleanly and easily should you decide to move the product.
The Metro, Nova, 06 and Volo range of accessories all include Glu™ in
addition to regular screw fixings. Glu™ slide rails and heated towel rails can also be found in the Volo range.
Design & Build
As an alternative to mass produced items, Felton offers an exclusive design and build service based on customisable modular parts. Designed and made to order in New Zealand, the range includes walk-in shower spaces, towel warmers, freestanding shower towers, bath spouts and more.
This service offers the opportunity for you to create one-of-a-kind, unique designs, even in single quantities. Design & Build is currently available in the FX Architectural line.
